Hi, I’m Lindsay—an award-winning Austin family photographer with more than 14 + years of experience photographing genuine connection, joyful personalities, and the beautifully imperfect moments that make a family feel like itself.
My sessions are relaxed, carefully planned, and gently guided. We might meet outdoors at one of Austin’s beautiful natural locations, photograph your family in the comfort of your home, or use a light-filled studio such as The Lumen Room. Wherever we meet, I’ll help you feel comfortable in front of the camera while leaving plenty of room for real moments to unfold.

There's something special about fall in Austin. Cooler evenings, golden light, changing grasses, and the excitement of the holiday season make it one of my favorite times of year to photograph families.

Fall dates are limited and tend to book several months in advance, especially weekends. If you're hoping to update your family photos before the holidays, I recommend reaching out early.

After over fourteen years of photographing families, I’ve developed a process that takes the uncertainty out of planning. From choosing a location and coordinating outfits to gently directing your family during the session, I’ll guide you through every step.
You don’t need to know how to pose. Your children don’t need to behave perfectly. And no one has to force a smile.
You simply need to arrive ready to spend time with the people you love. I’ll take care of the rest.

Planning & Styling
You’ll receive guidance with locations, timing, clothing, & session preparation, so you never have to wonder what comes next.
I’ll guide you throughout the session so you feel comfortable in front of the camera while still capturing genuine interaction & emotion.
Children are encouraged to move, explore, play, & be themselves. Some of the best photographs happen when we give kids space to connect.
Every final photograph is individually edited in my natural, rich, light-filled style. Galleries are delivered within 2 weeks of your session - often sooner!
My approach is relaxed, lifestyle-focused, and gently guided, whether I'm photographing a growing family, a sleepy newborn, an expectant mother, a graduating senior, or a business owner building their brand. I'll guide you throughout your session without forcing stiff poses or unnatural smiles. Instead, I focus on creating genuine connection and authentic moments that feel joyful, comfortable, and true to you.
Sessions can take place outdoors at one of Austin’s many distinctive locations, inside your home, or at a natural-light studio.
I’ll help you select a location based on your family’s personality, the ages of your children, the season,
the scenery you love, and how far you’d like to travel.
Outdoor sessions are generally scheduled during golden hour, beginning approximately one hour before sunset. This provides the soft, warm light you see throughout my portfolio. Sunrise sessions may also be available.
In-home newborn and family sessions are usually scheduled in the morning. Studio sessions are generally best between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
Absolutely. Every session includes styling guidance to help your family look coordinated without feeling overly matched. I'll help you choose clothing that photographs beautifully, complements your location, and feels authentic to your family's style. If rain or winds over approximately 20 miles per hour make it difficult to photograph safely and comfortably, we’ll reschedule
your session. Depending on the weather and your selected location, I may also recommend
moving to a more protected area so we can keep your original date.
Booking timelines vary depending on the type of session and the time of year. Fall and spring are my busiest seasons, and weekend family sessions often book three to five months in advance. Newborn, maternity, senior, branding, studio, and weekday sessions may have more flexibility, depending on availability.
If you have a specific season or date in mind, I recommend reaching out as early as possible to give yourself the best selection of dates and locations.
Children don't have to be perfectly behaved to create beautiful photographs. In fact, some of my favorite images happen when kids are simply being themselves. I spend the first few minutes earning your child's trust through conversation and play, then gently guide the session around their personality and energy level. Whether your child is adventurous, shy, or constantly on the move, I'll adapt so the experience feels relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
