Every summer since moving to Austin, I’ve been lucky enough to go back to San Diego for the month of July to visit family, friends, and get our fill of the beach too! Last summer I also wanted to provide my San Diego clients with an easy, fun, and unique photo session. Cue in the Funky Bus -1968 powder blue VW Bus that is semi famous in and of itself. It has been in Nike ads, the San Diego Pride parade, and used for multiple photos shoots. A photographer friend set me up with Dan Funk and his Funky Bus. It was probably the most fun mini session I have ever done. We had a bucket of corona, Slightly Stupid playing, and Dan hanging out entertaining the dads with surf stories about his adventurous life. So So-Cal. So fun. Here are a few pics from the afternoon!
And, of course I’m taking part in my bi-monthly blog circle! I just love collaborating with other photographers. I’m with a special group of photographer friends this week – we are linking to one another’s posts, so you can check out some inspiring work!
But first, all things Funky Bus!!
I hope I get to collaborate with Dan and his Funky Bus every summer!
Oh and don’t forget to follow along the blog circle. There’s a group of four of us this month, and next up is my friend Michele Quattrin . Click the link to check out her blog post and stunning work: Minneapolis NICU Photographer
